Tradescantia Nanouk & Vibes Pot

We absolutely love the full shape and wonderful foliage on this houseplant! Tradescantia Nanouk is a species of spiderwort native to South America, also known as the wandering Dude because it grows rapidly and will urban wild any space. The small leaves have a shiny appearance, the underside of a leaf is purple in colour and new leaves appear purple at first, then turn green.

It looks beautiful in a hanging basket or container they grow and hang over the sides. It’s a classic 70s houseplant making a huge comeback – for good reason, its stunning easy-care nature makes it hard not to love! 

This interesting houseplant makes the perfect gift for any occasion, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day and even as a Christmas gift. Tradescantia is easy to care for, suitable for beginners.

How should I water this houseplant?

Water when the top few inches of soil feel dry to the touch, soak through and leave until dry again. Be careful to make sure that the plant isn’t left sitting in water as it won’t like that!

Should I feed Tradescantia Nanouk?

Yes, you can water once a month during spring and summer, try our vegan, organic plant food. 

Is this plant toxic to pets?

Yes, this could cause problems if a pet nibbled it.
